“Practice 500 times”
To encourage students learning the Wudang style, Su introduced some stepping stones. Using the Wudang Tai Chi Drills she learnt in training with Grand Master Zhong Yun Long, Su developed these and new drills to help students embed the movements of the Wudang 28. Building muscle memory, students have a head start whenever these movements appear in a form.
With the coordination and alignment of breath, these movements have become a core study for Wudang Qigong. The focus on detail and the repetition create a beautiful, uncomplicated, moving meditation, similar to the Wudang Qigong Animal Forms.
